After working in finance for years, I kept noticing a familiar story: I saw men embracing investing opportunities and, more recently, diving into the fast-paced world of cryptocurrency. But women? Far too often, women were left on the sidelines, watching but not participating. Statistics back this up. Studies show that men are more likely than women to invest in high-growth opportunities like stocks and crypto. A 2021 Fidelity survey, for example, found that only about one-third of women feel confident in their investment knowledge. Similarly, research from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) reveals that women tend to be more cautious with their money, often favoring savings accounts over investments. And when it comes to crypto, those numbers drop even further, with a survey by BlockFi showing that only about 9% of women have invested in cryptocurrencies, compared to 16% of men.
This cautious approach often means that women miss out on potentially high-yield investments. And while financial security is essential, avoiding investment opportunities can hinder long-term wealth growth. The question is, why are women more likely to avoid investing, especially in something new like crypto? Through my experience, I’ve come to understand some of the factors. Society often teaches women to be careful with their money, to prioritize stability and savings over risk. Additionally, women frequently encounter spaces where financial topics are dominated by men, making them feel uncomfortable or intimidated to ask questions or even participate.
Crypto, in particular, can feel overwhelming. The industry is full of technical terms, high-stakes volatility, and hype, creating a barrier for anyone unfamiliar with the lingo or fast-changing trends. Without a welcoming, patient space to break down these concepts, many women feel hesitant to start. And this hesitation isn’t about lacking ability—it’s about lacking a community and resources tailored to their learning style, their priorities, and their questions.
This is where I believe a supportive community for women can make all the difference. I created this website as a safe, welcoming space to bridge this gap. Here, women can explore crypto in a way that feels accessible and empowering, rather than intimidating. This is a place where you can ask questions freely, no matter how simple or complex. There are no “dumb questions” here—only genuine curiosity and a shared desire to learn. By starting with the basics and building a solid foundation, women can move forward with knowledge and confidence, without feeling rushed or pressured.
This platform is also designed to address the common roadblocks many women face in investing. For example:
- Risk-averse Mindset: Here, we take a practical approach to crypto. It’s not about taking extreme risks or chasing hype. We focus on long-term strategies, manageable steps, and calculated decisions so you can invest at a pace that feels right for you.
- Lack of Confidence: Through straightforward, jargon-free content, we demystify the terms and concepts, breaking them down into easy-to-understand lessons.
- Feeling Out of Place in Male-Dominated Spaces: This website is a space designed for women, by a woman who understands the unique challenges we face in these environments. You’ll be joining a community of like-minded women who are here to encourage and support one another.
My vision is to equip women with the tools, knowledge, and mindset needed to invest confidently—not to “get rich quick” but to take control of their financial future in a sustainable way. I’m not here to offer trading tips or risky schemes. Instead, I’m focused on practical strategies that can help women invest thoughtfully, understanding both the risks and rewards of crypto so that they can build wealth over the long term.
The world of investing should be for everyone. It’s time for women to take their place in it, to feel empowered rather than overwhelmed, and to approach crypto with curiosity and confidence. With the right resources, a supportive community, and strategies tailored to women’s strengths, I believe we can change the landscape. Together, we can challenge the old narratives and prove that crypto investing isn’t just a man’s game—it’s an opportunity for women to thrive, grow, and secure their financial independence.
